You must be excited about coming to China soon. Let me give you some advice about Chinese customs. In China you’re supposed to shake hands when you meet someone for the first time. If you are invited by a Chinese family, you can give the host some fruit or flowers. But it’s impolite to give a clock as a gift since it is considered unlucky in Chinese culture.
When you are eating at the table, it’s impolite to stick your chopsticks into your food. You are not supposed to point at anyone with your chopsticks.
