四、阅读理解
Life is fun but it can also be challenging. Sometimes life can disappoint us and fail to provide what we are hoping for. That's just the way it is. But sometimes the problems that trouble us are from our own minds, so maybe it's time to stop finding fault with(挑剔) other people, bad luck, or whatever. How can we change the way we live for the better?
Think about things in another way. Your teacher gives you another role in the school play instead of the one that you really want and that you try hardest for. It doesn't mean your teacher doesn't like you. The role your teacher gives you suits you better. So just try your best to play it well.
No one is perfect, and that includes you! So don't expect life to always work out the way you think it should. If you don't live up to your own expectations, be kind to yourself. If you're always looking for perfection in yourself, you are sure to be upset. Be positive and wear a big smile for life! It can make you feel happy and cheerful.
Don't dwell on the past. It's meaningless if you always think about the past. "I should have made a greater effort for that test." or "I wish I hadn't said those silly things." There's nothing you can do to change any of that. Learn from it, and make sure you don't make the same mistakes again.
Sometimes, life doesn't go exactly the way you want it to. Try to change the way you live.
