In some areas of the countryside of Chongqing and Yunnan，people can see colourful wall paintings like a flying ship and a dragon. Behind these paintings are two volunteer painters，26-year-old Liu Zhicheng and 22-year-old Xu Fengkai. They come from small villages in Yunnan and have a deep love for the countryside. They want people in the countryside to enjoy a colourful life.
In June last year，the two young men spent their holidays in a town called Anju in Chongqing. They noticed some old walls and decided to stay longer to make the walls look better. They painted seven murals（壁画）：four on the walls of a factory and three on the walls of villagers' houses. Each took between two and four days to finish. The villagers liked their paintings a lot. Last September，the pair went to Liu's hometown in Yongsheng County in Lijiang to paint more murals.
Liu often shares short videos of his murals online. So far，he has over 293 000 fans，and his videos have gotten nearly 3 million likes. Liu and Xu got many high-paying job offers from all over the country. However，they said no to them. They say that they want to continue to beautify villages and add a touch of colour to life in the countryside.
