Ⅳ.阅读理解。(每小题2分,共30分)
(A)启航原创
Once, a father and his son went to a kite flying festival. The son was very excited to see all the colorful kites in the sky and asked his father to buy one. To make him happy, the father went to a nearby shop and bought one.
The son started flying his kite excitedly. Soon it reached high up in the sky. After some time, the son thought to himself, "It seems that the string(绳子) is stopping the kite from flying higher. If I cut it, the kite will be free to fly even higher." So he asked his father for a small knife and cut the string.
Without the string, the kite did go a little bit higher. However, it soon started to come down and landed in a tall tree. The son was sad. He turned to his father for an explanation.
"Well, the string wasn't holding the kite down; it was actually helping it stay up and guiding it in the right direction," the father explained. "When you cut the string, the kite lost that support and fell down. Similarly, in life, we may feel that limits(限制), like rules or hard tasks, are holding us back, but they are actually guiding us in the right direction."
