Hi Alan,
I just want to tell you about my music course. I’ve been here for several days. The course started this Tuesday and it’s going well. I haven’t had so much fun learning for a long time.
Every day we do something new. We’ve already learned how to record a song. It’s really hard to get the sound right. And when the singers make mistakes or forget their words, we have to do it again.
Jack, the technology teacher, has just sent me a text about a technology app I was trying to find. He’s really helpful.
Tomorrow we’ll finish a song. We’ve just finished recording the instruments and we’ve nearly finished recording the voices. After we have done that, we need to do mastering (制作母带). Have you ever heard of mastering? It’s the final step in the recording process. We put the tracks (声道) together and check the sound quality. For example, we need to make sure the volume (音量) is the same right through the song. You don’t want to listen to a song while having to turn the volume up and down the whole time!
