In July this year, a great flood struck my hometown. To keep safe from it, my family stayed in my uncle’s house for a week. After the flood, we went back home and found our house was a mess(凌乱).
We cleaned the house and put all the broken things on the side of the road in front of our house. Then we waited for the garbage truck(垃圾车) to take them away. I was very sad while doing the cleaning. I had been using those things for years. However, I had to throw them away and I would never see them again.
The truck finally came. I grew sadder and sadder as I heard the sound of the truck coming nearer and nearer.
