In Grade 8, Lily had trouble with English. She couldn’t remember new words and had a hard time understanding long passages. Her grades were not good, and she felt sad. Slowly, Lily felt better about herself. She could understand more words and even started to enjoy reading English stories. By the end of the term, she did much better on her tests. Her teacher was proud of her, and Lily was proud of herself. She learned that if you keep trying, you can do better.
