Ⅲ. 阅读理解
Judy often writes for her school's newspaper. Now she wants to write something about friends. Here are her interviews with four classmates.
Judy: Can you tell me something about your friends?
Cindy: My friend Jenny is quite different from me. She is taller and more outgoing. We are friends because we are both interested in music. She is good at Chinese, but I do well in maths. Anyway, both of us are hard-working.
John: My good friend is Bill. Both of us like playing basketball. We joined the school sports club together. Every Wednesday to Friday, we go to play basketball after school. Bill is better at it.
Betty: Lily is my good friend. She is 14 and I'm 13. We are quite similar. Strawberries are our favourite fruit. And I am as outgoing and hard-working as her.
Michael: Wilson is a quiet boy, but I like talking with my friends. So you can see I'm more outgoing than him. Both of us enjoy reading. We often ride to the library together at weekends. Friends don't need to be the same.
