Have you ever used coloured pencils for anything other than drawing? Artist Le Xuan Huong from Vietnam(越南) has. He uses them to make home decor products(家居装饰产品) like clocks, vases(花瓶) and tables.
Huong showed an interest in drawing at an early age. His father often bought him coloured pencils. Coloured pencils have always been his best friends. When he went to study at Hanoi University of Industrial Fine Arts, he started thinking about how to use them for other purposes (用途) besides drawing.
As a student, Huong travelled a lot. During his trips to many countries, he was impressed by the different styles of home decor. He wanted to make great home decor products for Vietnamese people, so he started his brand(品牌).

Bruce McDougal, an Australian working in Vietnam, bought not one but two coloured-pencil tables from Huong. "I have never seen anything like them before. They are creative, artistic and handmade," said Bruce.
