Ⅴ. 阅读理解
China’s Tiangong space station has welcomed new astronauts! The Shenzhou ⅩⅥ spaceship’s three astronauts went to the space station and met the Shenzhou ⅩⅤ astronauts on 26 April.
The Shenzhou ⅩⅥ crew members were all born in the 1980s, making them a young team of astronauts. “We never run out of things to talk about,” Shenzhou ⅩⅥ astronaut Li Cong told Xinhua.
During their six - month stay in space, they did more than 90 kinds of science experiments(实验). For example, they brought a fish tank(缸) full of water to the space station. There were four zebrafish living inside it. The fish tank was smart—it could feed the fish, change the temperature and lighting, and collect fish eggs on its own.
Why zebrafish? It’s because they share 70% of their genes(基因) with humans. “Next, we plan on bringing mice to space,” Zhang Wei from the Chinese Academy of Sciences told CCTV News. Studying animals in space can help us understand how the human body acts in space conditions.
