一、朗读下面文章。(满分5分)
UK schools offer many classes that are often different from those in other European countries. One such class is called PSHCE, which stands for personal, social, health, and civilisation education. In this class, students learn about health and safety, and also about different cultures around the world. It’s one of my favourite classes at school.
For most classes, our teacher prepares presentations and leaflets (散页印刷品) for us. Then we have discussions and talk about our own experiences. Sometimes, we also watch videos to see how people behave in certain situations. For example, last class we watched videos about online safety and cyber bullying (网络霸凌). The class covers all sorts of topics, so there’s always something interesting to learn.
Sometimes, we have to give presentations ourselves. Most recently, we had to give a presentation on disabilities. Our class was divided into groups, with some groups having to do research on different types of disabilities. Each group had to describe some disabilities, and also explain how disabled people are treated around the world. The disabilities covered were sensory (感官的) disabilities, physical disabilities, and mental disabilities.
There was also a “technical group”, which I was part of. The technical group had four people in it, with each member being in charge of one of the disabilities groups. I was in charge of the sensory disabilities group. With our help, each group was able to give a successful presentation. We did things like setting up the lighting and audio, and making sure that each group had good slides (幻灯片) for their presentation.
I think the PSHCE lessons are a great idea, as students can learn about important issues, and learn how to work with others towards a common goal.
