Being misunderstood can make us feel uncomfortable. But in fact, what makes us great can be born from being misunderstood. I finally understood the point of being misunderstood.
One summer day, I filled an exercise book with different shapes of raindrops in order to prove (证明) that the way a rainbow worked was impossible. However, when my teacher saw my exercise book, he thought I simply tried to make him look like a fool, so I was punished. Actually, I wasn’t trying to mock my teacher. I just wanted to find out how rainbows worked.
It’s hard to be misunderstood. We’ve all been there — perhaps speaking too quickly without thinking deeply. Listeners may not fully understand us, and they often judge (评判) our actions without considering the reasons behind them.
When we see something impossible, we ask questions like “Who made it?”, “How does it work?”, “Where does it exist (存在)?”... The search drives us to question deeply, and we trouble the people around us with endless details of what we see. Others may not see the impossible things we notice. As a result, we begin to doubt ourselves. But in our opinion, our voice matters. And we believe our actions are important and that what we see is worth seeing. We cannot bear to be told our actions are wrong and we cannot bear to be told we are blind, and that what we see isn’t there. It hurts when people say we’re wrong or our ideas don’t exist. However, having got the point of being misunderstood, I learnt to let it go and felt much better.

答案:
1.D 由第二段中的“However, when my teacher saw my exercise book, he thought I simply tried to make him look like a fool, so I was punished.”可知,因为作者的老师认为作者在愚弄他,所以作者被惩罚了。 故选 D。 2.B 由划线词所在句的上一句“However, when my teacher saw my exercise book, he thought I simply tried to make him look like a fool, so I was punished.” 4.A 由最后一段中的“When we see something impos-sible, we ask questions like “Who made it?”, “How does it work?”, Where does it exist? ... The search drives us to question deeply, and we trouble the people around us with endless details of what we see.”可知,寻找这些问题的答案促使我们去探索更多。故选 A。 5.C 由最后一段中的“However, having got the point of being misunderstood, I learnt to let it go and felt much better.”可知,当理解了被误解的本质后,作者学会了放手,感觉好多了。所以作者认为被误解是可以接受的。故选 C。
