What comes to your mind when you see a school bus? It takes students from home to school. But for 24-year-old Angus Luff, a school bus can be something more.
Angus turned an old school bus into “A hotel on wheels”. Now, he gave up his job to live out his dream as a tour guide and he is busy taking visitors on trips.
Angus came up with the idea of “A hotel on wheels” after watching a film called *Expedition Happiness*. In the film, he saw a couple travel across North America in a refurbished (翻新) school bus. “Why can’t I get a school bus and turn it into a hotel?” Angus thought. He soon carried out his plan successfully. Angus bought an old school bus in 2019. It took about six weeks for the bus to arrive in the UK. The bus once took children to and from schools. The next year, Angus made it into a hotel with the help of his dad. His hotel is just like a big home with beds, seats and a kitchen. Six people, at most, can live in it.
By the summer in 2021, Angus guided a group of people and went on their first trip. It was wonderful. Everyone had a good time.
Now, Angus’s hotel is very successful. He feels happy to do what he likes. “I take trips every week,” said Angus. “I’m very happy to do this. I really enjoy it and it’s great to see other people enjoy it, too.” In fact, “A hotel on wheels” isn’t a new idea. If we have such a hotel, we will travel more comfortably and relax ourselves better.
