二、阅读理解
人与社会——社会服务与人际沟通
Work education is an essential part of our school curriculum. Last month, our school organised a work education program on a local farm. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted by a friendly farmer who showed us around. There were various animals on the farm. The chickens were kept in cages, small enclosures made of the wire or bars where they could stay safely.
We got to work right away. First, we collected eggs from the chicken coops. It was a bit tricky as we had to be careful not to break them. Next, we helped feed the cows. We fetched hay from the barn and brought it to the cowshed. After that, we planted some vegetable seeds in the garden. We dug the soil, made small holes, placed the seeds, and covered them with soil. It was tiring but also a lot of fun.
Through this work education experience, we not only learned practical skills like animal care and gardening but also understood the importance of hard work, patience, and responsibility. It made us appreciate the efforts of farmers and workers who contribute to our daily life.
