Ⅰ. Read the passages and choose the best answers.
A
I was riding up my motorcycle to my friends from my place. About 30 minutes into the ride I was next to a truck and noticed that someone was looking at me. A little girl about eight or nine years old smiled and waved at me.
About 40 minutes later I pulled off the highway to get some gas (汽油). I went in to pay and when I was trying to find my 20 dollars but no luck, I heard a little voice, “Excuse me, sir. Are you looking for this?”
It was the same little girl holding out her hand with 20 dollars in it. I was confused (困惑的). She said, “You dropped it when you paid the guy at the bridge.”
Stunned at all this, I looked outside and her dad waved with a big smile. I turned back to her and said, “Thank you, young lady.”
She politely said, “You're welcome.”
I asked her to wait for a second. Then after getting 10 - dollar worth of gas, I said to her, “The ten dollars is for you, young lady. It pays to be honest.”
She smiled and waved the money at her dad as we walked out of the door. I walked over and said to her dad, “You have a very special girl, sir.”
He looked at her with pride in his eyes and said, “Yes, that's my girl. She asked me to catch up with you so she could give it back to you.”
