My daughter is four and has some “chores”. We started giving her chores when she was old enough to understand and finish them. Please don't misunderstand（误解）－my four-year-old girl is not cleaning the house， sweeping the floor or taking out the rubbish!
When she began walking and pulling her toys out， we started to teach her to put them away. Now she understands it to be one of her “chores”. And she can do it by herself. Another thing we asked her to do was to take her dishes to the kitchen. Now when she finishes her meal， she will get up and run to the kitchen with her plate! We feel so lucky to have such a lovely girl!
We don't have a “chore list” for her to finish each day! But little by little we add chores to her daily life. I understand the reason behind that. And I also think that there are some chores that each person should play a part in， like keeping the house clean and taking care of one's own things.
I think that it is never too early to teach children how to look after themselves. But some big chores should wait until they are older. There are many chores you can give to your children at every age.
