The world’s tallest ice lolly stick tower
Eric Klabel is a 12 - year - old boy from Illinois, the U. S. The boy just got a place in the Guinness Book of World Records. He built the world’s tallest ice lolly stick(冰棒) tower, which stands over 6 metres tall. The tower was made out of 1,750 ice lolly sticks and held together with nearly 1 kg of wood glue.
A girl set a new world record
Matilda Walden, a 13 - year - old girl from the U. K., set a new world record in December, 2021. She used the shortest time—5.69 seconds to assemble(组装) Mr. Potato Head. Mr. Potato Head came out in 1952 and was the first children’s toy ever to be advertised on TV. Since the toy appeared, assembling it in the shortest time has become a true challenge for children all over the world.
Recently, Ma Jiajun, a middle school student from Jilin City, set a new world record for “the most consecutive triple jump rope(连续三摇跳绳)(male)” with 701 times. The earlier world record was set by a Japanese with 423 times. When he jumped rope more than 500 times, he was too tired. He said that his willpower helped him finish the last 200 times.
