Ⅴ.阅读表达
How much pocket money do you get from your parents every month? What do you often do with your money?
We asked three middle school students for their opinions on pocket money.
Wang Lin:
I get 5 yuan every week from my parents. I usually save 1.5 yuan and spend the rest.
The two things I usually like to buy with my pocket money are storybooks and Lego Blocks(乐高). I don’t really think about getting more pocket money. And I even don’t talk about pocket money with my friends at school. If some people’s parents give them too much pocket money, other children might get jealous(嫉妒的). It’s important not to show off what you’ve got.
Ma Lihong
I get 6 yuan from my mum and 8 yuan from my dad every month. I try to save and buy presents for my family. Last year, I bought my mum a lipstick(口红)for Mother’s Day, which cost 9.5 yuan.
Ji Liyang:
My mum gives me 10 yuan a week. She says I can either spend it in the school canteen(餐厅)or she will make me a packed lunch, then I can spend 10 yuan on whatever I want. I like sports shoes. If they cost 50 yuan and I only have 40 yuan, my mum might give me an extra(额外的)10 yuan. But I have to do some housework instead.
I know that some parents can’t afford to give their children much pocket money. So I try not to talk about my pocket money at school.
