六、任务型阅读。根据短文内容,按要求回答问题。
Have you ever paid attention to your school's security guards or dining hall staff? Would you say "good morning" to your school's cleaners? For high school student Ding Jiacheng, it's a problem that many students pay no attention to the important jobs done by the non-teaching workers. He wanted to make a change.
The boy from Hangzhou Foreign Language School, together with several other students, carried out a project called The Invisible (隐形的) Are Important. They hoped more students would see and respect (尊重) such staff in the schools. The project won a prize at China Thinks Big, a competition held by Harvard University and Tsinghua University to encourage teenagers to study social problems.
The team also watched the interactions (互动) between students and non-teaching staff. "While most students follow the rules of the dormitory attendants (宿舍管理员), one-third of the students go against the rules of the dormitory attendants," said Ding. "It shows that students treat non-teaching staff differently from teaching staff."
The main reason, according to Ding, is that students know little about the work done by non-teaching staff. Besides, there are few chances for students to communicate with them. So Ding's team makes videos to show staff working in the universities. They also held a basketball match between students and non-teaching staff to increase their interactions.
"We've also made lots of stickers (贴纸)," Ding said. "We hope these cute stickers will help young people like the non-teaching workers more. The activity helped me understand that we all can make a big difference through our creative ideas."
6. Why did Ding Jiacheng and his teammates start the project?
7. What does the phrase "The Invisible" refer to?
8. Why do students often treat non-teaching staff differently according to Ding Jiacheng?
9. How do you describe Ding Jiacheng?
10. What other ways do you have to show your respect to the non-teaching workers at your school?
答案:6. Because many students pay no attention to the important jobs done by the non-teaching workers and they wanted to make a change.

8. Because students know little about the work done by non-teaching staff and there are few chances for students to communicate with them.
解析:原文“The main reason... is that students know little about the work done by non-teaching staff. Besides, there are few chances for students to communicate with them”直接给出原因。
9. He is caring, responsible and creative.
解析:从他关注非教学人员、发起项目及用视频、篮球赛、贴纸等方式解决问题,可看出他有爱心、负责任且有创造力,故填 He is caring, responsible and creative.
10. We can greet them politely when we meet them, help them with their work if possible, and learn about their daily work to understand them better.
解析:此题为开放性问题,合理即可,例如礼貌问候、提供帮助、了解他们的工作等,故填 We can greet them politely when we meet them, help them with their work if possible, and learn about their daily work to understand them better.
