Ⅳ. Read the passage and choose the correct answers.
I teach language in a high school. This year, I began reading a favourite poem of my own to the students at the beginning of most classes. Although I knew that much of the vocabulary and many of the allusions (内涵) escaped my students, they liked to listen with interest to the poem itself and to my simple explanation about it. Sometimes I asked my students to bring in and share their own poems written either in English or in their own languages. In many cases, translations were not available, but my students came to understand much of the language as they tried to translate the poems. The sharing of poetry has become a regular thing in my class.
