I have just invented a time machine. People can travel into the past or the future for five hours with the time machine at a time. I thought that it would be fun to see what my father was like when he was 10 years old. So I took a small bag and got into my time machine. I typed the words "1964, 11 Niven Road, Singapore", and then pressed the button. In a second, I was in front of the old house, 11 Niven Road.
I saw four children looking for a lost dog. I got closer. Oh! I knew them. They were my father, my uncle Kelvin and my aunts Peek and Janet. I introduced myself as a policeman. They asked me to help them look for the lost dog, Blackie.
The children looked everywhere in the neighbourhood. When we reached the farthest house, I suddenly heard a dog barking. The children knocked on the door of the house and asked the man, who came to the door, to return Blackie to them. The man asked the children to prove the dog was Blackie. So my father called out Blackie's name and the dog answered with a friendly "woof woof". So the man returned Blackie to my father.
Five hours passed and I had to say goodbye to them. I got into the time machine again and went back to my time.
