Ⅲ. 阅读理解
Ever since my boys were able to understand words, I have wanted to take them to go to the movies. It was one of the activities through which I bonded with my parents. And having worked in a theater as a teenager on weekends, I've become interested in movies. In fact, one of my earliest memories growing up was seeing Return of the Jedi.

But when we should take our boys to go to the movies has been a discussion for some time, as well as the kinds of movies to take them to see. Nowadays, going to the local theater is not cheap, and we can't take them to see the Marvel movies when they're 3 years old. And sure, Minions is good for kids to watch, but it feels more like a commercial(商业的) movie.
And then we need to determine if a movie is OK for our little ones. We've often depended on the Internet as a guide, but the ideas online are just someone's opinions instead of telling parents if something is OK for kids.
Then there's a matter of taste. My eldest son loves mysterious creatures early, so he's the perfect watcher for movies like How to Train Your Dragon. My youngest son is very sensitive(敏感的). I'll never forget how he cried at the end of a movie. In the movie, a sweet small mouse turned into a large monster(怪物).
Finally, my wife and I came up with a solution: During the summer, many theaters have children's movies at half price. So, if our kids don't like it, we can go out without feeling like we've wasted a lot of money.
