Wolves: Masters of the Wild
Wolves are amazing wild animals. They are social and live in packs(狼群). In a pack, there is a clear order. The gray wolf is a well-known type and was once in many places around the world.
A wolf pack has an alpha pair(领头的一对狼) as leaders. These leaders decide things to help the pack live. Wolves mostly eat animals like deer and rabbits. They are great hunters. They use their sharp teeth and strong legs to catch food. A single wolf can run fast for a short time. As a team, they work together to catch bigger animals.
Wolves have thick fur to stay warm. Their howls(嚎叫) are not just for fun. They howl to talk to other pack members, mark their home area, or ask for help. Long ago, people were afraid of wolves. But now we know they are very important for nature’s balance. Without wolves, the number of the animals they eat would become too big and hurt the environment.
