During the school holiday, my friends and I took part in a “Hands-on Fun” woodworking class. We were going to make small wooden boxes to hold our treasures.
When we started, I accidentally cut the wood in the wrong place. I was worried that I’d ruin(毁掉)my project, but our teacher encouraged me to turn it into a unique(独一无二的) design. Surprisingly, the “mistake” made my box look special with an extra notch(切口). As we worked, the sound of sawing and sanding filled the room. We joked about whose box would be the best.
In the end, each box had its own charm. One friend painted hers with colourful stars, and another carved( 刻)his name on the lid(盖子). This DIY experience taught me that things which are not perfect can lead to creativity, and working with hands brings real joy.
