B
Two years ago, when I was making summer plans,at first I chose Plan A — working at an animal hospital or training animals to work with people with disabilities. Unluckily, they only needed volunteers over sixteen, but I wasn't. So I chose Plan B — volunteering at an animal shelter in my city.
Working at an animal shelter wasn't my first choice. I couldn't wear my favourite T - shirt when taking care of the dogs, because the dogs liked giving me big kisses. And I couldn't wear new shoes when feeding the cats. When the cats disliked some food, they would spit (吐) it out and make my shoes dirty. However,it was still an interesting experience. Although there were many hard jobs,I had great fun playing with the animals. I loved walking around and providing them with training.
I spent all summer volunteering, and Plan B was probably my best decision. Volunteers didn't need to work in the shelter all the time. The shelter was often short of many things,so collecting money and helping out at the front desk could also be of great help.

Can your community become better? Is there a person in your neighbourhood offering help? If you're hoping for someone to make a difference, that someone could be you!
Volunteering your time is a great way to make a difference in your community. And you'll feel good about doing something to help people or improve the places around you.
This past summer,my friends and I noticed that our neighbourhood park was dirty. We wanted it to be different. We worked without parents or teachers to clean up the park. We had fun making the park much better than before.
Maybe cleaning up a park isn't your choice. No problem! You can turn anything into a volunteer project. Do you like playing chess, reading,or spending time with your pet? You can volunteer to do what you love to do. For example, you could help at an old people's home, simply by talking or playing games with them to make their day. If you're good at maths or English, you could volunteer to be a
homework helper at your school. You're always needed to walk dogs or play with cats. Or you can collect things for homeless people.
You see, there is something for everyone. Whatever you do as a volunteer, you will enjoy yourself. Kids everywhere are making a difference by volunteering. You can, too!
