A farmer and a snake

It is a cold day in winter. A farmer finds a snake on the ground. It is nearly dead because of the cold weather. The farmer is a kind man. He brings it carefully to his house and puts it near the fire. Soon the snake begins to move and tries to bite the farmer. “Oh,” says the farmer. “I help you, but you bite me. You have to die.” Then he kills the snake.
