(2024—2025·湖南师大附中博才实验中学期末) Last year wasn't the best year for Leo. His birthday was on 1st January. His parents prepared a big party for him on New Year's Eve. He enjoyed delicious food and shared interesting things happily with his family and friends. The party left Leo many good memories except(除了) that he made many resolutions to improve himself, but he didn't keep them!
He told himself that he would try his best to study at school and get good grades, but he never studied for an exam because he thought he knew everything. However, his grades were so low that he had to repeat all his subjects in the end. Another resolution was to walk his dog every day after school, but he didn't do it! He usually asked his sister to take the dog for a walk in the park.
Luckily, Leo decided to change this year, and he is really taking action. Now he's 15. He knows he needs to be more mature(成熟的). Firstly, he's going to do his homework and review(复习) on time. He also wants to be a better soccer player. He plans to save some money to buy a pair of new football shoes and practise football in his free time. He has already saved some of his pocket money, and he has promised himself that he'll save 200 this year. He's sure that his parents will be really proud of him if he is successful in sticking to his resolutions.
