My Summer Holiday
This summer holiday, I went to Beijing. I went there by plane. It was very fast.
In Beijing, I visited many famous places. I walked on the Great Wall. It was really long and great. I also went to the Forbidden City. The buildings there were so beautiful and full of history. And Tian'anmen Square was very big and magnificent.
I also ate Beijing Roast Duck. It was delicious.
I felt very excited and happy during this trip. I learned a lot about Chinese history and culture. I hope I can go to Beijing again.

Hello! I'm Nicola. Do you know where I am now? I'm spending my summer vacation in Zhangjiajie. I'm having a wonderful time here with my family. Zhangjiajie is in Hunan, China. It's famous for its mountains, forests and rivers.
Yesterday afternoon, we visited Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge (玻璃栈道). It's long and high. Walking on it was a little scary but quite fun. We could see the green trees below. We camped by a small lake in the evening. During the night, we heard a noise! It woke everybody up. We thought somebody was moving about. But my father said it was an animal. We came out without making any noise, and found it was just a hungry monkey looking for food.
This morning, we climbed Mount Tianzi! From the top we hoped to see the lakes and forests. But it was a pity (遗憾) that it was cloudy. We could only see the mountain tops above the clouds. Then we walked down the road along a river. There were many trees and flowers. I picked a lovely flower, but my mother said that it was wrong to pick flowers and that we should protect (保护) everything here. I was very apologetic for doing that.
Tomorrow we're going to Dongting Lake. I'm looking forward to the visit. It must be fun!
