Hi, my name is Ruby. I am a 13-year-old girl. I have a problem. I broke (摔断) one of my legs when I went roller skating (滑旱冰), so it doesn't work well.
Today is my first day at middle school. I'm very excited. And I'm happy to see my friend Mary in the classroom. After class, a boy talks in the classroom and makes fun of (取笑) me. It makes me sad. What can I do?
Then Mary walks to the boy. "Chuckie, don't make fun of Ruby. She can't walk well now, but she can learn and play with us," she says. And Chuckie, the boy, stops talking to his friend Bob about me.
I say thanks to Mary. She tells me, "Ruby, you can go to our teacher Ms Rosa if you want help."
In the afternoon, I play games with Mary in the playground. Chuckie comes to me, "Hi, Ruby. I am sorry. Can I play with you?" I am happy and say yes. Chuckie and I are friends now.
