I grew up knowing I was different,and I hated it. I was 1B with a cleft palate (腭裂). When I started to go to school,my classmates 2A kept laughing at me,made it clear to me that I look different from others：a little 3B with a misshapen(畸形的) lip. I couldn't even blow up a balloon without holding my nose. When schoolmates asked,“What happened to your 4D?” I told them that I had fallen as a baby 5C cut it on a piece of glass. The same thing was done for the other ear. I had discovered that nobody checked 13C the untested ear was being covered tightly with a finger,so I planned to pretend to cover mine. My turn came. I turned my bad ear to the teacher,14A the other with my finger,and then gently moved away my finger to be able to hear.
I waited,and then came the 15C that changed my life forever. Mrs Leonard,the pretty teacher I admired,said softly,“I wish you were my little girl.”
