Ⅶ. 任务型阅读(共5小题,计10分)
阅读下面短文,并用英语回答问题(请注意每小题的词数要求)。
The ocean isn't as quiet as you imagine. Most of the noise is caused by sea animals. They use sound to find what they eat, whom they play with or which general position they move towards. But the noise from human activities is increasingly troubling the lives of ocean animals.
One reason for loud underwater noise may be the use of sonar(声纳) underwater since 1950. Another main reason is pile driving(打桩). Piles are mainly supports for building bridges. They're driven deep into the floor of the ocean. Driving a single pile into the floor can take several hours and result in as many as 5,000 hits. This process creates a lot of noise.
To reduce that noise, some companies are making use of tiny bubbles(气泡). A single bubble is easily broken. However, the bubble walls can absorb some of the noise, so it creates less noise. Such bubble walls are really helpful. They are used around piles driven for a bridge in California.
Other changes to pile driving can help achieve the same goal as well. For example, people can take breaks in pile driving and let animals travel through, perhaps giving them some food if possible. Small changes can help make life better for big and small animals in the ocean.
51. What is increasingly influencing the lives of ocean animals? (不超过5个词)

52. How many hits will result from driving a single pile into the floor? (不超过5个词)

53. What does the underlined word “absorb” mean in Chinese? (不超过5个词)
