Ⅴ. 阅读理解
(石家庄期末)
Some young kids don’t know how special they are. They think they are too common(普通的). This is the problem of most kids today. When they see cool players or famous writers, they often think: Am I famous? What am I go - ing to be when I grow up?
Growing up means understanding what you can do and what you can offer to the world. When you are young, you don’t see that. But when you get older, you may know that just by being yourself, you do offer something to other people.
Maybe you aren’t the best, but that doesn’t make you “not special”. Think about your friends. Write down some things that you like about them. Think about why you are friends. You will know that though they aren’t the smartest or the prettiest or the most talented, they are great in their way. And they feel just the same as you!
In fact, it is great to be the best at some - thing, but it’s OK if you can’t be the best. If you just live your life and try hard, you are still amazing. And you can make your dream come true.
