Two Chinese boys wowed the world with their street dancing skills. They are Song Haoming, 10, from Jiangsu and Fu Junxi, 14, from Guangxi.
On March 3, the two joined the Juste Debout World Finals (JD 全球总决赛) in Paris and competed (比赛) in the hip - hop group. They beat (打败) two top pairs from other countries and made it to the semifinals (半决赛). This was the best result ever for a Chinese team in this event, as reported by People's Daily.
The two boys added Chinese kung fu moves such as drunken fist (醉拳) and tai chi (太极) to their dance, making it special. They created all the dance moves by themselves.
Fu started learning street dance at five and a half years old. According to his mother, he practised for two to three hours after finishing his schoolwork each day. Dancing has taught him time management (管理). Song fell in love with dancing when he was three years old. He sometimes practises a move hundreds of times.
Song hopes to show the world that Chinese street dance is not just copying (模仿) others—it has its own soul (灵魂) and culture. Next, the two boys plan to add lion dance and face - changing moves to their street dance.
