For me, exams aren't just about looking at what I've learned—they're also a time to improve my study skills.
Before an exam, I go over what I've learned by looking at the textbook's table of contents (目录). I also practise different types of questions. In the last 10 minutes before the exam, I do a few simple problems to build up my confidence (自信).
During the exam, I focus on answering each question carefully. I also see it as a time to practise working under pressure (压力). I always plan how to use my time for each part of the exam and decide the best order to answer the questions. With more practice, I found the best way for me to take exams.
After the exam, I take time to think about how I did. I look at my mistakes and work out where I went wrong. I like to write down what I learned in an "exam notebook" and read it before the next exam. It reminds (使想起) me of my past mistakes.
By following these steps, I can get the most out of every exam.
