Dear Richard,
I had a terrible Friday, but I had a wonderful weekend!
My sister Linlin and I went camping with our parents on Sunday. Dad and I set up the tent. Linlin and Mum collected sticks to start a campfire(篝火).
Once the tent was set up, we started a fire. Linlin and I looked for long sticks to use for roasting hot dogs over the fire. We found four sticks, one for each of us.
Mum, Dad, Linlin and I each placed two hot dogs on our sticks. We held them over the fire and turned the sticks slowly, so each side of the hot dog was roasted. Then we put the hot dogs into buns and added relish(风味佐料). The hot dogs were delicious. After we all enjoyed our hot dogs, Linlin wanted to eat some dessert. We roasted marshmallows(棉花软糖) over the fire. The marshmallows turned a nice shade of brown. Then we ate the yummy treats.
