八、任务型阅读(共10分,每小题1分)
阅读下面的短文,根据文中信息完成文后表格。(每空一词)
Language
I think you can greatly improve the quality of your trip by learning even the most basic Japanese before you go. Many travel guides lead you to believe that most people in Japan can speak or understand English. I can’t believe it. That is certainly not our experience—even at Disneyland—nor do we expect it to be.
Flight
This is not such a big deal at all. From the West Coast, you get on the plane in the afternoon and get off the plane in the evening—it just happens to be the evening of the next day. When I got there, I stayed up till my regular bedtime and woke up the next morning, feeling fine. I was worried that coming home would be awful. You leave in the evening and arrive on the morning of the same day.
Subway
The subway map looks like a bowl of spaghetti, but it is colour - marked and has numbers, so it is not too difficult to figure it out. The hardest part is figuring out which exit to take from the subway. There are usually a lot of exits, and sometimes taking the wrong one can bring you too much trouble. There are maps (usually with English on them) at the exits that list what sights and attractions can be found if you take that exit.
Hotel
We book our hotels in different ways. For our longest Tokyo stay, we book through the Internet. Many Tokyo hotels have English websites on which you can book directly. I find Tokyo Top Guide to be a great resource for finding hotels by location and, in some cases, at a lower price. Another website with a good selection of hotels and some discount prices is Where to Stay in Tokyo.
