Ⅱ 阅读理解。
As the saying goes, friendship is the golden thread that ties hearts all over the world. In 2024, I met a friend from the other side of the ocean.
In summer, I travelled to Los Angeles, U.S.A. I was sitting on the beach, amazed by the colorful sea and the cloudless sky. "Hey, be careful!" I heard someone say. "Do you see all the birds around you? They may steal your food!" As soon as I heard this, I immediately put the hot dog in my hand back into its box. When I looked around, a blonde girl about my age was sitting behind me, smiling sweetly. I thanked her for her kind warning, which made her smile even brighter. She asked me where I came from.
When she heard I was from Shanghai, a few lights of excitement flashed in her blue eyes. "Shanghai? That's a really big city! Could you tell me more about your hometown?" "Sure!" Then I gladly talked about my life. To my surprise, she was interested in Chinese culture.
Finally, we changed our email address. Meeting her was the best thing from my 2024. I hope we can build a good friendship.
