Ⅳ 任务型阅读。
Wu Yanni may not be happy with her result at the 2025 World Indoor Championships (室内田径世界锦标赛). She missed the final of the women's 60 meters hurdles (跨栏比赛) by just 0.01 seconds. Even so, she made history by breaking an 11-year-old national record.
Wu, 27, is from Sichuan. Now, she is hungry for more success. She has her sights set on a new Chinese best in the 100m hurdles and try to challenge the Asian record. "As an athlete, after you achieve something, you have to start all over again and I have to keep working on my skills." Wu says.
Still, Wu believes that competing is the only way to become better. At the Paris Olympics, she failed to make it out of her heat (初赛). In fact, she has the ability to get the seventh place in the final, but a lack of (缺乏) experience held her back. That's why she always wants to get out there and learn more.
What's next for her? Wu Yanni has her eyes on new goals. For now, she wants to finish the top eight at the Olympics.
That means she has to improve on her personal best record first. "______." Wu says.
1. Did Wu Yanni break an 11-year-old national record?
2. Where is Wu Yanni from?
3. What do you think of Wu Yanni?
4. What may Wu Yanni say at last?
