Collecting stamps is a fun hobby. Stamp collectors keep their stamps in special albums (集邮簿) to protect (保护) them.
Now let me tell you more about stamps. Stamps are small pieces of paper with beautiful pictures. We put them on letters. They show that we have paid (付款) to send our letters. Each stamp is special and tells a story about a place, a person, or an event (事件).
The first stamp was made in the UK in 1840. It was called “Penny Black”. China's first stamps, the Large Dragon stamps, were made in 1878. There was a Chinese dragon on each stamp.
I think we can learn a lot from collecting stamps, like history and art.
