Paul: AI can teach maths without shouting at you, but it can’t care about you like a person does. Parents might get angry when you make mistakes, but they feel happy when you improve. They feel the same when you’re sad, but then they encourage you to move on. AI will never laugh with you over a silly joke or share stories from its life.
Jenny: I think AI is better than my parents for several reasons. When I make mistakes, AI won’t get angry like my parents do. Sometimes, AI is even smarter than my parents and has many ways to work out problems easily. For example, when I had a maths question, AI broke it down into easy steps and explained each one. This helped me understand better. I will choose AI to help me with my homework, and my parents can take a break!
Nancy: When I have problems with my homework, I don’t ask AI for help. My parents may help a lot. Sometimes, it is hard to explain a problem in just a few words. Many children need to spend much time describing the problem for AI. I don’t want to waste time on it. Also, parents may share their own stories when helping with homework. I enjoy listening to these stories. It is fun to learn more about my parents. If parents don’t know the answers, they can use AI first and then explain it to their children.
