根据语篇内容,回答问题。
One day a young man Gary went to see a wise old man. He wanted to know why he wasn't able to reach all of his goals in his life.
The old man was reading in a small house by the river. With a smile, he listened to Gary's story and told him, "First please help me boil a kettle(壶)of water!"
Gary saw a big kettle next to a small stove, but there was no wood(木头)in the house. So he went out to get some.
He came back with some dry wood, filled the kettle with water and put it on the stove. Then he put some wood in the stove and started a fire. But because the kettle was too large, when he used up all the wood, the water did not boil. So he ran out to get more.
When he got back, the water turned cold. He learnt his lesson and this time he got more wood before he started a fire. Finally, he boiled water.
"If there is not enough wood, how will you boil the water?" the wise man asked.
Gary thought for a minute but didn't know the answer.
"Well, then just get some water out of the kettle!" the old man said. "At first, you set too many goals. It's just like the large kettle full of water. You didn't have enough wood, so you couldn't boil the water. If you want to make the water boil, you will have to boil less water."
41. Was there any wood in the house?
42. Where was the old man reading?
43. What were the reasons why the young man couldn't boil the water?
44. How many times did Gary get the wood?
45. Do you agree with the wise man's words about goals in the last paragraph? Why or why not?
