Last summer, I decided to visit the Palace Museum in Beijing. The Palace Museum is very popular with tourists both at home and abroad. It is rich in historical relics and ancient wisdom.
I arrived there early in the morning. To avoid (避开) the crowds, I followed the guide's advice to start from the less-visited areas. The guide reminded us to be careful when walking around the palaces, as some of the floors were old and might break easily.
As I walked through the grand halls, I was amazed by the beautiful architecture (建筑风格). There were many stone carvings and paintings on the walls. I took a lot of pictures to remember this wonderful experience.
I also saw some workers restoring (恢复) some ancient buildings. They were very careful with their work. I learned a lot about the history of the Ming and Qing dynasties from the guide.
When it was time to leave, I left with a full heart, filled with the knowledge and beauty of this place. I hoped to come back again someday to explore more.
