“Once I decide to do something, I never give up halfway, ” she said. Lin started learning to play the piano at the age of nine. She sometimes got bored with playing the same song over and over again, but she carried on practicing.
While climbing Kilimanjaro, Lin suffered(遭遇)from serious altitude sickness(高原病). When they set off at midnight on the third day, she could hardly walk. “I told myself to keep on and to take one more step, then another and then I finally made it, ” Lin said. “Success comes when you keep on walking forward. ”
