Hello, I’m Lucy. My hobby is reading. I think good stories can make me feel relaxed and take me into a different and colourful new world.
Reading is also a good way of knowing more about other people: how they live and the reasons why they do the things. Jane Austen is one of my favourite authors. She wrote her novels in the 18th - century England, but some of the things she described are true even today. Her books are still very popular and several of them were made into movies.
Before I came to the university, I read Jane Austen’s novels several times and enjoyed them more than when I first read them. I especially enjoyed Pride and Prejudice. I borrowed the book from a library near my home. I could see that many people had read Pride and Prejudice before me because there were food stains (污渍) on the book almost every page.
