Badminton is a newer sport in the Paralympic Games（残奥会）. It first appeared just several years ago at the Tokyo Games. In 2024, at the Paris Paralympics, it grew to include 16 events. However, China’s para - badminton team was well - prepared for the challenge.
Yang Qiuxia, now 26, first dreamed of winning an Olympic gold medal and seeing the Chinese flag raised high when she was just 15. She achieved that dream and won a gold medal in both Tokyo and Paris. Qu Zimo, 22, practised his badminton skills in the past ten years and won four gold medals in two Paralympics.
