13-year-old Mike Green comes from New Mexico, USA. On a beautiful sunny day, Mike was on vacation at Disney World with his family. Suddenly, Mike saw a small child in a swimming pool. He jumped into the water quickly.
The child was 3-year-old Helen Williams. She was also spending a vacation with her parents. When Mike got Helen out of the water, Helen’s lips(嘴唇) were purple. Luckily, a man did CPR(心肺复苏) on Helen. Then they took her to the hospital.
Doctors at the hospital said Mike got the little girl out of the water just in time. The small child is fine now.
Ashley, Helen’s mother, said it was really a scary day. At the time, she just left the pool. She saw another woman run across and call for help because a baby was in danger. But she didn’t know it was her daughter until she saw the baby’s swimsuit(游泳衣). She thanked Mike so much for saving her daughter.
Mike said it was the right thing to do to help someone out. He now wants to study CPR to help others.
