“Well, we could use some hot dogs.” I was at the local charity 1 pantry(分发处). They had a thrift shop(旧货商店) attached(附着) to it where I would sometimes stop to 2 a sweatshirt or a book for my sons. Sometimes I would also step back into the food pantry and ask if they needed anything. I got 3 from food pantries when I was a young father with a hungry family. Now, I like to give 4.
This time I could see that most of the shelves were full of boxes and cans 5 by stores. One thing they said they needed was meat, however. Hot dogs were cheap and I didn't 6 getting some. I soon went to the local grocery store and 7 my cart with all the hot dogs I could afford.
As I was paying for them, I 8 my own childhood. I could see my mom 9 two hot dogs in the kitchen. Next she put each one on a slice of white bread with a piece of cheese. To top it off, she would add a little ketchup(番茄酱). It didn't 10 much but to me it was a feast(盛宴), cooked with love, eaten with 11. And the flavor lasted for long, long time in my life.
That memory warmed my heart as I 12 off the hot dogs at the food pantry. It felt good knowing that some other little boys or girls out there would soon be having a(an) 13 lunch. I left the pantry with a smile on my face. And as I walked to my car, I could feel my mom 14 down on me from heaven.
The truth is that, when done with love, 15 and receiving are the same thing. It all comes back around again.
