One day, Joe and Pat were playing football in the backyard. Joe kicked the football to Pat. The ball went over the fence into their neighbour’s garden. At that time they heard the sound of breaking glass. Joe ran to the fence with Pat at once. Their neighbour stood in front of his house.
“Look at my greenhouse! ”he yelled.
“I’m so sorry. We broke your glass. Shall we mend it for you?”asked Joe.
“Oh, you’re honest boys. Be careful next time! ”said the neighbour.
“Thank you, Sir. You’re very kind. We won’t do that again,”the boys said happily.
