话题:走出舒适区 难度:★★★ 建议用时:7’
In the class meeting, Mr. Wang drew a picture of a man standing in the middle of a circle. To make it more interesting, he drew things like a house, a car and a few friends inside the circle.
He asked us, “Can anyone tell me what this is?” Li Lin said, “The world?” Mr. Wang said, “That’s close. This is your comfort zone (区域). Inside your circle
you have all the things that are important to you—your home, your family, your friends, and your job. People feel that inside this circle they are safe. Can anyone tell me what will happen when you step out of this circle?” Mr. Wang then drew an arrow (箭头) pointing from the man to the outside of the circle. He went on saying, “Outside your comfort zone, you will face the world that you are not comfortable with. The result is that you will learn something that you do not know and get more than what you have.” He then drew a bigger circle around the first circle, and added a few new things like more friends and so on.
The story tells us that if you stay inside your comfort zone, you will never be able to learn more. When you go out of your comfort zone, perhaps you will be afraid. Challenge your mind and you can grow to be stronger and better.
