五、阅读理解
Zhou Yihan is a student. He has invented a stair - climbing(爬楼梯)robot. It can help old people when shopping.
Zhou noticed that many old people preferred shopping in stores, but carrying heavy things was difficult for them, especially in buildings with stairs. So Zhou set out to find a solution. He used half a year to make a robot by himself. He carefully designed its every function and used ultrasonic sensors(超声波传感器)to make it move smoothly.
Unlike other robots,Zhou’s creation has a unique feature—there are wheels that can change shape by themselves. When walking on flat ground, the robot uses round wheels and achieves turning by changing its speed. However, when climbing stairs, the robot’s wheels turn into triangles(三角形).
After finishing his stair - climbing robot,Zhou tried to improve his creation. He hopes that his creation can help old people. Besides,Zhou plans to add a box to hold goods for old people.
